Breaking News: Goodbye Global Gathering

Sad news for the UK festival industry and festival fans today as leading dance event Global Gathering has released a statement announcing that the festival will not take place in 2015.

As this break comes with heartache, we can only hope Global Gathering bounces back and reclaims it’s position at the heart of the UK dance market in 2016.

Global Gathering has previously been home to Long Marston Airfield in Stratford Upon Avon. Last year’s headliners included Chase & Status, the Prodigy, David Guetta and Alesso.

This is also a sad time for the festival’s media partners, associated brands, and sponsors. Please join us in praying for the future of the UK festival scene.

Below is a statement taken from the festival’s official website:

After 13 years of delivering one of the UK’s most successful electronic dance music events, the promoters of the GlobalGathering UK festival have decided that the festival will take a break in 2015 in order for all elements of the show to be reviewed ensuring GG remains at the heart of the UK dance market. This will not affect any of the GG club shows in the UK or international GG events. Thanks to all of our loyal fans for your continued support, please check the website for further updates.

  1. Whilst I am not into Dance Music and would not attend something like Global Gathering but it is sad to see another festival close it’s doors. I think that this will not be the last as there are probably too many on the calendar at present. I just hope none of the ones I attend join the list
