Kendal Calling: 3 Year Expansion Plan Approved

What a way to start 2015! Kendal Calling already competes against the majors in terms of consumer experience, and now it looks set to join them in size.

Our favourite Lake District music festival have been granted permission to expand their award winning event. Next summer, Kendal will expand to a whopping 25,000 capacity. Best medium-sized festival you say (2013)? Not for much longer! The festival will grow to 30,000 in 2016, increasing to a grand total of 37,000 in 2017.

Winter sucks. It’s dark by 4PM and we’ve spent the past few weeks seeking comfort in our old summer playlists and crying every Thursday over festival throwbacks. LIFE WAS SO MUCH BETTER IN SUMMER. Winners Of The European Festival Awards

Last night Europe’s festival industry took over Oosterport Congress Centre in Holland for the European Festival Awards. Similar to the UK Festival Awards, the ceremony celebrates the passion and commitment that goes into producing Europe’s magical festival season. 35 countries took part, accumulating 1.2 million votes, proving that passion for festivals is on fire across the continent.

Rudimental for Boardmasters 2015

Hurricane Bertha caused carnage for Boardmasters last year, sucking all the fun out of the Sunday!
